Beginning his career as a country fund analyst at Lipper Analytical Services in the US in 1994, Steve transitioned to the UK following Lipper’s acquisition by Reuters. He later drove business development efforts for prominent Hedge Fund and Private Equity investment firms in France and Switzerland, catering to private, corporate, and sovereign clients.

Subsequently, Steve joined a Swiss boutique corporate intelligence firm, leading various projects involving due diligence, threat assessments, market entry, industry landscapes, and geopolitical analysis. His expertise led him to Credit Suisse, where he served as Chief Operational Officer for the Politically Exposed Persons intelligence unit and Global Head of External Intelligence. In these roles, he oversaw risk-related issues for investment banking and private banking clients, liaising with the Board of Directors, Executive Board, Business Units, and Regulators.

Steve’s work at Credit Suisse extended to representing the firm at Europol’s Financial Intelligence Public Private Partnership meetings in The Hague, collaborating with Interpol, Europol, FinCEN, the DEA, EU Financial Intelligence Units, and other financial institutions such as JPMorgan, Barclays, UBS, and Deutsche Bank.

Currently, Steve serves as the CEO of 8 Degrees East, a strategic consulting firm based in Switzerland. Leading the firm, he leverages his knowledge, network, and expertise to guide industry leaders and families in solving problems, mitigating risk, and achieving success. Steve’s ability to navigate complex situations ensures optimal outcomes for his clients, solidifying his reputation as a trusted partner.
